My dad's really upset by this woman who rings him like 3 times daily! He’s 89 and from the States. Every time he hangs up, she calls again. She keeps telling him his phone’s going to be cut off, and it’s making him quite anxious. Honestly, this has got to end immediately!

got a call from some automated system with an american accent trying to freak me out saying my bt internet connection had been hacked from california and was gonna get cut off. they told me to press 1 to fix it. i just ended the call. definite scam.

I received a call a couple of hours back from an American woman’s robotic voice. She informed me that BT was set to disconnect my internet service at the behest of Microsoft in California. I promptly ended the call, but now I've found myself without any internet access since that moment.

They just said on the recording that the phone line is gonna be shut down from today.

Got a call from someone with an American accent saying my BT line had been hacked. But when we tried ringing the number they gave, it just said the number couldn’t be reached. Best to just forget about this phone number.

Got a call today from a number I didn’t recognise and it turned out someone had hacked into my line. Took me a bit to figure out what was going on but seemed like they were trying to scam or something. Really scary to think your phone can be used without you knowing. Just be careful out there!
