Like a few folks mentioned, it's a dodgy call claiming we've got some refund from our credit paid over to Amazon. Totally fishing for credit card info, no doubt. They rang from a number with our area code, which is why I picked up.

Today, I got a call on my home phone claiming to be from my bank, asking if I'd bought train tickets and to press 1 if I hadn't. From the get-go it felt dodgy since they never mentioned my bank’s name or any details about my account. I ended up checking my accounts myself just in case. Honestly, if I’d read the reviews here beforehand, I wouldn’t have wasted my time - it’s clearly a phishing attempt.

Got a call saying my visa was used to buy train tickets. They told me to press 1 if I didn’t do it. I pressed 1 and they began with the normal questions. I kept them on the line for about six minutes, avoiding giving any details, and then they finally got bored and ended the call.

Got a call from this number earlier, saying there were two suspicious payment claims on my account. I logged into my bank online and everything looked fine. During the call, I pressed "2" and could hear some busy noise with what sounded like foreign voices in the background, so I just hung up without saying anything. Later I searched this number and I’m pretty sure it’s a scam. Definitely dodgy.

I’m on the TPS list, yet these people still gave me a ring. Their recorded message said there were two charges on my bank card but didn’t say which card they were referring to. I immediately knew it was bollocks and a scam. Then the robot voice said to press one to confirm the transactions or two to speak to someone. I pressed two and got through to a person but they wouldn’t tell me which card was supposedly involved unless I handed over more personal info. Honestly, they shouldn’t have bothered calling me at all. I just hung up.

This is a really risky SCAM. I got an automated call supposedly from East Midlands Trains, saying thanks for booking a ticket. But if I hadn’t made that booking, they wanted me to call their ‘customer service’ team…… who then try to get all your personal info and bank details, and probably much more. Just so you know, I’ve never used East Midlands Trains at all. Plus, I’m registered with the TPS. It’s awful how these crooks try to trick people. Best thing to do is just hang up straight away on these SCAMMERS.
