This number called me earlier today, but I chose not to pick up since it looked unfamiliar. After reading what others have said here, I'm really relieved I didn't. What puzzles me is how many folks say they answered but all they got was silence or the caller just cut off. It's pretty unsettling, because it shows these calls are probably scams or some dodgy scheme - but why would they bother ringing if they’re not gonna actually talk to anyone??? Weird!

Got a call from 01212364031 claiming to be from "domestic and general" saying my fridge freezer insurance needed renewing, and they even had my exact address, which freaked me out a bit. Told them they’d got the wrong person straight away - seemed like a scam to me. Have blocked the number now.

I didn’t want to argue, so I ended the call. If this is a legitimate business, I can’t imagine they’re doing well with that sort of approach.
