michael called me earlier today, said he was with some firm called fastirash or something like that. i cut him off and told him to remove my number from their list. he got all annoyed and rude, saying i hadn’t even heard what he was calling about. i guessed it was one of those personal injury scams (they usually are!) and he called me sarcastic and rude. i just told him again to take me off and ended the call. haven’t heard from him since, it’s been about an hour and a half, but i’m still pretty miffed at how he spoke to me!

Like others have said, I just switched my car insurance and then this idiot calls me talking about some "accident" I apparently had. Tried to get me to spill info right there on the call - total scam. I’d been comparing quotes on Moneysupermarket a few days before, but the call only came after I’d already sorted a new policy and scrapped the old one. No idea what made him pick up the phone then.

Told him straight away to delete my info from their records. He kept trying to chat, so I told him I wasn’t interested and again told him to take my details off. I picked up a call from this number earlier. The guy on the phone seemed to know my first name and said he was from something like "Fresh Contacts." He asked, "Can I just verify a few things? Did you have a car accident recently?" I said, "No." Then he pressed, "Not in the past three years?" I replied again, "No." Right after that, he just ended the call. Seemed a bit dodgy to me - caller was supposedly from Fresh Contacts (or something like that).

They rang me but didn't bother leaving a voicemail. Since I didn’t know the number, I thought I better look it up here. I’ve been getting loads of calls over the years from people claiming I’d been in a no fault car accident and that I’m owed some kind of payout. Not sure if it was this exact number though. I actually did have an accident, but only my insurer (Egg, if I remember right) and the towing firm would have had my contact details. I reckon my info must have leaked somewhere along the line.
