my mum got a phone call sayin she owed money on an amazon card she never even heard of. she hit 1 to talk to someone but there was just silence. she rang her bank straight away to check if there was any amazon charges on her account, and luckily there wasn’t. she told the bank to block any dodgy payments if they get a request from “amazon.” it was really upsetting for her, especially at 76 years old.

I got a call from a robotic voice pretending to be from Amazon, telling me about a debit card payment and giving a supposed order number. They asked me to confirm a charge of £549. Then the call suddenly dropped. When I tried ringing back, it just rang like a foreign number. So, I called Amazon directly and they said the number wasn’t theirs at all. Definitely seems like some sort of phishing scam.

got a call from a recorded voice claiming there was a pending mobile phone order on my account. it asked me to press a certain number to accept or another to decline, so we just ended the call.
