Upon informing them that he wasn’t available, I requested to know who was calling, and their tone shifted dramatically. They became rather snappy, grumbling that they must’ve dialled incorrectly and that it was of no importance. I responded that it indeed mattered since they inquired about my partner. They then took on a condescending tone, saying something along the lines of, "Love, you're wasting my time; I said it doesn’t matter," before abruptly hanging up. Quite the cheek, if you ask me!
