Got a call from First Home Improvements in Bury St Edmunds, thanking me for completing some sort of ‘green survey’ - which I honestly don’t recall ever filling out. They then tried to tempt me with several vouchers, all linked to services they provide. Pretty obvious it was just a sales pitch dressed up as a voucher offer. I told the caller we had nothing needing fixed, but he just kept going on. Finally, I had to just cut the call off.

Got a call on 19th Feb 2020, no voicemail left. Cheers to those who flagged this number earlier. The caller ID wasn’t the same as what 1471 shows - classic trick used by scammers.

This number rang me earlier today. The caller ID said it was an international call, but the code actually matched Braintree. Definitely felt a bit dodgy, like a scam or something, especially since they didn’t want to reveal their real number. No message left on the voicemail either.

My phone went off and I heard a little message, sounded just like my daughter which totally freaked me out. I quickly dialled back but the number never even rang. Lucky my daughter was at her driving lesson and just got home. Honestly, people need to find something better to do!

Didn't pick up an unknown number showing as "International 01376" and let it ring through to voicemail. It’s quite believable since you can get numbers that make it look like the call is coming from anywhere worldwide - so it might not actually be from Braintree or even from the UK. No voicemail was left though, so I’m guessing it’s some sort of scam or telemarketer. Seems pretty suspicious, especially judging by how many people have reported similar calls here - cheers to everyone who’s shared their experiences.

Someone phoned me asking if I was a particular person, and when I said yes, they just went quiet and hung up. Feels like one of those scams trying to make you call back so they can hit you with ridiculous charges. Honestly, don’t return the call, it’s probably a con!

He rang me up and used my name, saying he wanted to do some work since we supposedly chatted about it before. When I told him he was making it up, he just hung up on me.

Just got a call that cut off right away. Tried ringing them back just to check if maybe it was from the hospital or something but it said "number not recognised." So I’ve gone ahead and blocked it. Honestly, I don’t get why people spend their time bothering others like this. Surely, they could put their energy to better use than pestering random folks. Must be a sad way to get their kicks.
