4 yearsGot a call two days in a row from someone claiming there was suspicious activity on my bank account. They even knew my bank’s name and said someone was trying to access my money, saying they needed to move £2000 to protect my funds and asked for my bank details. When I asked where they were calling from, they said London, but the number was actually local. As soon as I questioned that, they just hung up on me. I reported it to my bank’s fraud team yesterday and today I contacted my local branch directly, so fingers crossed everything’s alright. Just as I was typing this, the same number called again but I ignored it and let it go to voicemail - no message left. Really unsettling stuff.
