I've noticed that some B.T. workers, probably fed up with their daily grind, mess about by using fake numbers to get past call blockers. It's not like they're making cash off these scams, they seem to do it just for the fun of annoying people. Honestly, one of these days it's gonna catch up with them...

Supposedly they offer support to stop annoying calls. Between 6th and 12th of September, we got 26 calls. We're on the TPS register, but loads of people seem to have handed out our number somehow. When I told the caller to remove us from their list, they just started ringing even more. Best thing is to just ignore and not say a word. I've blocked the number so they can't reach me, but I can still see how often they try calling each day.

I keep getting calls from the number 01375673660 several times daily, usually starting around 8.15 in the morning. Earlier today at 9.15, I finally picked up. The caller, who sounded like he had an Asian accent, said he was from “Telephone Preference Management” and offered to help stop annoying sales calls. He even mentioned my full name and address, which was a bit unsettling. Then he asked for my bank details, including the expiry date on my debit card and the numbers underneath my name. That’s when I decided to just hang up straight away.

I’m absolutely fed up with this nuisance calling me over and over. Even though I’ve blocked the number a few times, the idiot still manages to get through. I swear, if I catch him, there’ll be trouble. My folks are old and struggling with health problems - my dad’s seriously ill - and this muppet just keeps ringing, not giving them a moment's peace. Got calls from this number loads of times over the last few weeks, always a bloke with an Asian accent saying he's from the TPS, which sounded fishy right from the start. The calls usually start quiet, then some robotic voice just says ‘goodbye’. The person they're calling is elderly and quite poorly, so it's really not on. Definitely a scam, and honestly, I'd love to catch these crooks in the act.
