I tried to tell them that’s not a very polite way to speak to someone, but they just carried on with the swearing. So, I hung up. The person sounded Asian, no disrespect meant. Still, I was quite shocked - didn’t expect to be spoken to like that by a stranger on my phone.AllanAllen8 yearsI received a rather peculiar phone call from a chap named Joseph, who spoke with an African accent and asserted he was representing some sort of nuisance calls service linked to BT. He inquired whether I had experienced any bothersome calls of late and surprisingly rattled off my address and postcode. However, he messed up my name and initials. He claimed this was a complimentary service but then proceeded to mention my prior debit card details, asking if the card had expired and what my new expiry date was. I flatly refused to divulge any information and suggested he should communicate with me via post in the future!
