Received a rather peculiar phone call this afternoon from someone claiming to be “Rose from TalkTalk.” Her English had quite a strong Asian inflection, shall we say. I thought I’d play along and mentioned how pleased I was to hear from her since I had been inundated with calls from various individuals pretending to be from TalkTalk, and I was eager for her advice on how to handle those pesky con artists. Instead, she promptly transferred me to her supervisor, whose grasp of the English language was so poor it bordered on incomprehensible. I inquired about the same issue, but he completely sidestepped my question and started droning on about my internet connection. To test the waters, I requested my ‘personal TalkTalk password,’ which I made up on the spot. He rather suspiciously replied with "2012." I told him he was mistaken, and asked if he was just another scammer. At that point, he abruptly ended the call. Quite the shambles, really!

Got a call from some people acting like they were from TalkTalk, but it was obvious they were trying to scam me. Definitely dodgy.
