i let the phone ring for quite a while since the number didn’t look familiar, finally answered only to get that usual pointless chatter from an asian lady. i was just about to hang up and heard her say we’re not picking up to someone else, then they said to call back later. sure enough, they rang again and i just ignored it. what a waste of time!

I got a call from a woman with an Asian accent saying she was from BT. She claimed there was an issue with my internet and offered to fix it for me free of charge. When I told her everything was fine, she said she’d need to block my broadband. I just told her to go ahead then. Real BT would never ring from a number that wasn’t 0800 or similar. Definitely a scam, so I blocked the number straight away.
