I was nearly caught off guard when I received a call claiming that my Amazon Prime subscription was up for automatic renewal. They urged me to hit 1 immediately, insisting that £39.99 would be slipping out of my account without my consent. What a cheeky tactic that was!

On Thursday 4th June 2020, at about 12:19pm, my landline got a call from a number I didn’t recognise. I had already been getting a few calls that morning from different numbers since around 8am, so I figured this was probably the third one in a string and decided not to pick up.

I picked up but all I got was silence, so I just blocked the number.

Got a recorded message saying my Amazon Prime is gonna renew automatically for £39.99 and to press 4 to chat with someone. This is at least the third time today with different numbers calling me, and I've blocked them all now. Honestly, I'm really tired of these constant disruptions.
