Somebody rang me, said they were from BT, wanted to test my internet speed and offered assistance to "boost" it. I played along for a while, but soon enough they asked to remote access my PC to "fix" things. Classic scam, definitely dodgy. I was getting calls roughly every half hour from different numbers starting with 0137 and 0138 - each time I gave basically the same skeptical reply.
