Got a call from someone with an Asian accent saying they were from Openreach about my internet being slow. When I asked questions, they just hung up on me!

I got a call from a bloke with an Asian accent saying he was calling from Microsoft. He asked if my computer was switched on, then told me to press the windows key and the "R" key together. After that, he told me to type in "eventvwr". That’s when I said hang on, I’ll just double check something. The call then suddenly dropped. I later found out this is a scam where they try to take over your PC and end up asking for money if you fall for it.

Got a call from someone claiming to work for BT, said his name was Nick Smith and even gave me a BT employee number. He said there was an issue with my BT service. The moment I asked for my personal details to be confirmed, he just hung up. Watch out for this one!
