I picked up this call since the number showed Dunkeld, where I used to live. The caller had an Indian accent, so I asked them which part of Dunkeld they were ringing from. They just replied, "What do you mean?" and mentioned some company I couldn’t catch properly. I asked again, trying to find out exactly where in Dunkeld they were calling from, but they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. I told them the caller ID said Dunkeld, so surely they should know where they’re calling from. That’s when I called them out for being scammers and ended the call.

I got a call from someone claiming to be EE's promotions team, offering to lower my bill. It sounded like a typical call centre from India, pretty obvious really. When I said, "Sure, go ahead and cut my bill down," they just ended the call straight away.

Got a call on my mobile today from an unknown number while I was in Basingstoke. Didn’t know who it was so I just blocked it and reported it straight away.

When I answered, there was just silence before they quickly disconnected. Could be one of those scam calls trying to see if your line is live so they can throw you on their calling list. Really annoying!
