Got a call asking about my electricity provider and if I owned or rented my place. They already had my postcode from an address I haven’t lived at since 2002. They were obviously reading off a script, saying stuff like “you’ve got such a nice voice” - total rubbish. Plus, the call was from overseas.

When I picked up the phone, there was silence at first. Then, an Asian woman asked if Mr or Mrs was available. I asked who was calling, and she replied with "hello Mrs" which I found strange since I never said I was Mrs. She then started speaking rapidly in her own language and abruptly hung up on me! I’ve blocked the number now.

It seemed like a call centre, cos there was a bit of a lag before they answered. A woman with a foreign accent was asking for Miss Gubbins. When I said there’s no one by that name here, she then tried to say maybe I could help her with an offer she had. But before she said what the offer was, she wanted my name and address. Received multiple calls from this number, a woman with an accent kept asking for a Mrs Suchanova. The first time I told her they’d got the wrong number, she then started to ask me personal stuff like my name and where I live. When I said I wasn’t comfortable sharing that info, she just ended the call. Ignored about 10 more calls after that. On the 11th call I picked up again, same lady asking for Mrs Suchanova. The number showed up on my caller ID as coming from Dunkeld, Scotland. Thing is, I’ve got zero mates or contacts in Scotland who’d ring me out of the blue. Couldn't be bothered to pick up. But loads of people say these callers pretend they’re from England, even when the phone shows it’s definitely a Scottish number, and apparently it’s super annoying.
