Got a call recently from this number. The bloke sounded Asian and said he was ringing from Nationwide Building Society. He knew my name and kicked off by asking me to verify my postcode, which he actually got wrong. I didn’t really give him any confirmation and just asked what he wanted. Then he just hung up. Pretty obvious scam if you ask me. Probably trying to gather bits of personal info, maybe hoping I’d let slip the right details or something.

My phone showed it was an international number, but turns out it was someone calling from Dingwall, Scotland. I picked up and spoke really quickly, and then they just ended the call.

Got a call from someone asking if I’ve been getting annoying calls, I told them no. Then they asked if I’m registered with the TPS, I said yes. After that they just said thanks and ended the call.

I gave them a ring back but it went straight to their voicemail which was full. Seems dodgy since I’ve never heard of anyone from Dingwall! Could be a scam, I reckon.

A woman rang up saying she was from a nuisance call prevention group and asked my 80-year-old grandma for her bank details. When my nan said she didn’t have her bank card nearby, the caller got really annoyed and told her to be more prepared when she called again. Definitely a scam.
