He insisted that my computer had some issues and requested access to rectify them. He was rather impolite and had a noticeable accent. I confronted him, pointing out that it sounded like a scam, and quizzed him on how he obtained my information. To my surprise, he mentioned that Rosemary had referred him to me - that’s my middle name, by the way. I reckon he’d mixed things up! He then demanded money to fix the supposed problem before abruptly ending the call. When I pressed him for the number he was calling from, he shockingly gave me my own number!
