Received a call from a number I didn’t recognise, and it feels quite dodgy. Definitely seems like a scam to me!

Got a call about buying new doors and windows, but it honestly seemed like some sort of automated message.

Got a call from a woman claiming to be with 'Windows and Doors' asking to talk to the house owner. Total rubbish, just a waste of time. I'd recommend leaving this number unanswered.

Didn't leave a message again, just another scam call!

This was definitely a scam, watch out!

The call I received had the distinct feel of a pre-recorded message, almost like it was deliberately paused to prompt a response from me. It mentioned something about reaching out to homeowners in light of new government regulations, claiming there was coverage on BBC News regarding folks being displaced from their residences. Quite concerning, to say the least!

Got a call on my landline from some bloke saying something about "government changes for care home fees" aimed at homeowners. I said I had no idea what he was going on about and just hung up straight away.

Had this call from some bloke claiming the government would seize my home to cover care home costs if I didn't stash my cash with them. Yeah, right! I went along with it and handed over everything I had, now feeling totally safe... not! Absolute scumbags.

The call began with a guy talking about some Government update for everyone who owns a house.. then the number just ended up blocked.

The call came through but there was dead silence on the other end, and as soon as my answerphone picked up with a message about not taking nuisance calls, they quickly hung up. Sorted that out. I’m on the do not call list and my number’s ex-directory anyway, so I really shouldn’t get these calls in the first place. Even if I wanted to, I don’t have a car to be selling!

I received a call from this number during lunchtime today. I chose not to pick up as I was familiar with the area code, but I don’t know anyone from that part of the world. It’s likely just a scammer using a spoofed number. I’m ex-directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so this caller is clearly breaking the rules while being a nuisance!

I just had a phone call from that particular number, and it turns out they were trying to peddle medical alarms. I let her know I wasn't interested, and she promptly ended the conversation by hanging up!

So, I got a call from a woman saying, “Hi, this is xyz,” talking about some free medical alert thing. Then suddenly it switched to a recorded female voice. That’s when it hit me straight away that it was a scam. I’m on the TPS, ex-directory, and use BT Call Protect too, yet somehow they still got through!

I received a call from a woman who said, "Hello, this is xyz." She started off chatting about some sort of complimentary medical alert system, but then it switched to a robotic female voice. That was the moment I recognised it for what it was - a scam! I’m ex-directory, registered with the Telephone Preference Service, and I've even got BT Call Protect set up, yet here I was still getting these pesky calls!

Got a phone call from this number earlier, some woman kept going on about a medical alert button I supposedly qualify for. She said if I press the button, someone would come to help. When I asked how she got my details and which firm gave her my number, she just said if you’re over 50 it doesn’t cost a penny. She wasn’t too happy when I started asking questions, wished me a nice day and then hung up. Obviously, I’ve blocked the number now - just sounds like another scam to me.

Got a call just after 9 this morning from a woman claiming to be with a Medicare group trying to sell some kind of bracelet. I told her no thanks straight away, felt like a scam to me. Honestly, when will something be done to stop these annoying calls? Hung up pretty quick.

I received a call on my home phone from this number. I chose not to pick up, but once I did a bit of digging, I found out it’s linked to some dodgy scams and has already been flagged by others.

Total rip-off! They called me claiming if you're over 50 you can get a medical bracelet for only £1.07 a month. I told the lady I wasn't interested and to stop ringing, but she insisted on sending the pack anyway because it's so cheap. I warned her I was going to report the firm for pestering me and mentioned my calls are recorded and could be used as evidence. After that, she finally put the phone down and never called again.

I picked up when the phone rang but there was nobody there, then it just hung up right away. After looking into who these callers are, it's clear they shouldn't be allowed to keep doing this. It really puts me and others off from picking up our phones now.

Totally a scam, no doubt about it. Lucky for us, the folks behind it seem pretty clueless, which makes it easy to catch on straight away.

What really set my alarm bells ringing with this caller was when he referred to a family member of mine who is currently overseas. It felt odd that he started discussing safeguarding my finances as a precaution for potential care needs. How on earth did he find out about my relative being away?
