Had a call but when I answered, there was total silence on the other end.

No answer at all.

Phone just picks up with no one talking, total pain and likely some sort of scam.

Got a call from an unknown number so I just put it on silent. They didn’t leave any voicemail or message.

They’ve rung me a few times already - quite annoying.

Classic example of a scam call, nothing surpriseing.

I keep getting calls from unknown numbers, so I just ignore them since they never bother to leave a message anyway. When I try to check who’s behind the call, it’s nearly always a scam. If I ever plan to switch my phone provider, I’ll look into it on my own, no need for some cold caller telling me they offer better deals. As usual, the number has been blocked straight away.

Got another call from some scammer pretending to be from three different mobile providers.

Said they were from O2 and tried to be all matey... seemed like they were after my info or summat... best just blocked!

Has anyone else noticed getting way more scam calls after applying for jobs on Indeed? I’m convinced they must be sharing phone numbers. Happened to me a few years back too when I applied for a job, and now it’s happening again.

Got a call from someone claiming they’d protect my account from fraud. I quickly realised it wasn’t legit as the account isn’t even in my name anymore.

I'm not sure why you would say something like that about Hindus.

They rang me three times in a row, claimed to be O2, but weirdly, I’m not even a customer with them.

Had someone with an Asian accent ring me up saying they were from 3 mobile, but as soon as I mentioned I’m on the TPS list, they just ended the call straight away.

I received a call from someone with a deep Indian or Asian accent who introduced himself as Adam. Quite amusingly, he asked if I was also named Adam! I chuckled at that since it’s far from morning here in the UK - it’s actually three in the afternoon! What a pointless conversation. I promptly hung up and made sure to block the number straight away. Utterly ridiculous!

My phone flagged it as spam and the call ended abruptly while I was pondering my next move. I appreciate the heads-up in case they try to reach out once more.

Even though my number’s on the TPS list, I keep getting calls from suspicious numbers - just got one again this morning. I never pick up calls from numbers I don’t know and always look them up to see who’s ringing. This one’s going straight on my block list too!

Sounds like it was coming from India or somewhere similar. Hard to catch what they were saying, but I reckon it was some kind of insurance scam. I just ended the call and blocked the number straight away.

Bit of a dodgy scam really, the person on the phone just kept speaking in some foreign language. All I caught was “I don’t speak English”, so I just hung up straight away.

They had my name and my address and claimed that my TV's manufacturer warranty had expired and they were all set to renew it. When I declined the offer, the line abruptly cut off. Quite suspicious, don’t you think?

Someone posed as an insurance representative and claimed they could assist me in acquiring compensation for a supposed motor vehicle accident I'd been a victim of. The thing is, I can't recall any such incident ever taking place! It was clear that their narrative was pure fabrication-seems this so-called accident was nothing more than a figment of their imagination!

Got a call from someone saying there was an insurance claim linked to a car crash I supposedly was involved in. Thing is, I don’t actually own a car, so they suggested maybe I was in someone else’s car or just a passenger. None of that made sense to me tho, unless I’m leading a secret double life or something haha. The bloke on the phone was alright, pretty polite but kept pushing for answers.

Someone called saying my appliance wasn’t covered anymore and wanted me to buy some insurance. Luckily, I double-checked and found out it was still under warranty, so I’m glad I didn’t fall for it.
