I agreed to a survey, and a really pushy bloke showed up, banging on about moisture in the timber, just like someone else mentioned here. He said they hadn’t got any government funding yet and promised to do the work cheaper than the £33 per square metre I’d be paying as my third of the total. After checking around, it turns out £33 to £35 is the usual price anyway.
