I received a rather dubious phone call from what seemed to be a call centre. The individual on the line had a distinctly foreign accent and insisted she was reaching out on behalf of my mortgage provider. The twist? I don't have any mortgages at all! Naturally, I’ve gone ahead and blocked the number.

Got a call from someone saying they were with O2, telling me I was overpaying on my contract. I said I don't usually answer cold calls, and he got a bit rude, saying he’d leave me to my day and go help folks who are more open to listening. If he really works for O2, that’s pretty poor.
