I received a rather dodgy call from what purported to be a Microsoft helpline, claiming my computer was riddled with viruses. Needless to say, I wouldn't trust these chancers as far as I could throw them. They’re just after your cash!

Some guy with an Asian accent called me, asked me to start up my computer. It’s annoying how the police don’t seem to do anything about these calls, even though they can track them back to the company easily. Why isn’t anything being done?

Got a call earlier from some bloke with a funny accent. I picked up and just said hi, he replied back with hello and then just cut the call. Definitely sounded foreign to me. Avoid calling Europe numbers, don’t trust em!

Got a call earlier from this number, some bloke with a foreign accent saying he needed to 'repair my PC'. Took me a moment, but I quickly saw it was just a con and ended the call.

Got a ring from this number earlier. Some bloke with an accent who somehow knew my missus’s name and where we live. Claimed he was calling from TEC HELPLINE or summat like that. Once we told him we’re registered with the TPS, he went all moody and proper rude, like he didn’t expect that. Bit of a shame, huh? Yeah right, I honestly didn’t care. Felt great to just disconnect the call on him, and not before throwing in a few colourful words! Absolute con artists, honestly.

Got a call from a woman who sounded Asian, and her English was really bad. She said there was a problem with my computer that didn’t exist and wanted to fix it. She asked to talk to me directly and somehow had my full name and phone number. My wife picked up the phone, and when she said I wasn’t there, the caller just hung up.

Just like everyone else said, this guy wouldn’t take no for an answer. He was some bloke with an Asian accent, and when I told him I was feeding my baby and couldn’t chat, he straight up called me a liar! Honestly, there’s no way I’m going to let some stranger access my computer. I still can’t get why they always seem to know my name, number, and where I live. Proper annoying!

Got a call from some guy with an Asian accent, said he was from tech support and that my computer had issues. I told him straight up, "You're not tech support, you're a scammer trying to get me to install TeamViewer or something so you can snoop through my files. So buzz off and don’t ever ring me again, or I'll find your company and make it seriously unpleasant for you."

My wife got a call from a guy claiming to be James Parker, but he spoke with an Asian accent. He told her there was something wrong with her PC. He even knew her name, which made it sound legit at first. Then he told her to go on to helpcheckhelp.line[###] so he could fix it. Sounds like one of those scams where they get access remotely and nick your passwords. Definitely steer clear of it.

Got a call today from someone saying my computer had a major issue and that they could fix it. Seemed a bit off to me, especially since I didn’t call them first. They kept pushing to get remote access which made me really suspicious. Just hung up straight away, didn’t want to risk it. Seems like another one of those scam calls pretending to be tech support. Watch out if you get a similar call!
