Received a call on our home line on the evening of Friday, 21st November. I answered, but there was complete silence on the other end. Probably for the best, really, as they wouldn't have got any interest from me anyway.

Got a call from this asian number 01326221783. They somehow knew my name and kept saying there was something wrong with my computer. Instantly, i just put the phone down. Definitely a scammer trying to trick people.

So this guy Ray rings me up every few weeks, sounds like he’s got some kind of Asian accent or something. Says he’s from tech support and there’s an issue with my computer. Problem is, he called me Bernard, but my name’s Bernadette. I told him straight up I don’t even own a computer and then just ended the call. This nonsense just keeps happening.

I gotta say, these callers really crack me up. Been in the IT game over 30 years now, so when some muppet rings up claiming there's an issue with my PC, I can't help myself. I usually say something like, "A problem, you say? Which device exactly?" Then they go, "The one for the internet." So I’m like, "Right, which OS does that run on?" They answer, "The internet one." Then I throw in, "Alright, what's the IP address then?" And they still keep saying, "The internet one." Honestly, these thick heads make my day every time!

Ah, the classic "Hello, I'm Ray, ringing from the tech support team" ruse. It's all a bit tiresome, isn't it?

Got a call just now from some dodgy bloke, sounded foreign, maybe Indian? My number’s unlisted, yet he knew my name and asked, “is this Mr X2?” I said, “who’s this then?” He claimed to be from the tech support team about my computer. I hung up straight away. It’s nuts how these scammers are allowed to keep running around causing trouble, scaring folks in their own homes. Ridiculous that nothing’s done about it.

She called and asked if I owned a computer. When I turned it back on her and asked if she did, she just ended the call.

I’ve been getting calls from this number for about seven years now, and every time they ask for the home owner. When I say, if you’re ringing me, you should already know who you want, they say they need to speak to some Mr Barraclough - who doesn’t even exist here. The latest call was from a Scottish woman, and I swear, I wouldn’t call her a lady. After I hung up, she rang back just to shout at me about some dodgy solar panel scheme. Can you believe it? This has been going on for seven bloody years!

Received a call regarding some pesky files on my computer. What he didn’t realise is that I’ve been in the IT game for over 15 years. Quite amusing, really!

Got a call from a guy with an Indian accent who introduced himself as Frank. He claimed there was an issue with my computer, but honestly, there isn’t any problem at all.

This is merely a discussion board; it won't put an end to those pesky phone calls. If you're keen on halting those unwanted rings, you'll need to invest in a call blocker or a phone that has call-blocking features built in.

Received another call from this number, a chap with a rather foreign accent claiming to be inquiring about our computer. The moment we started to ask a few questions, the line went dead. Quite dodgy, if you ask me!
