This number rings me almost every week looking for a Mr McKenzie. I've told them every single time to stop contacting me, but they just ignore it and keep bothering me. Just a few minutes ago I told them again to take my number off their list. The bloke on the other end actually chuckled and said something like, “Yes, it’s Mr McKenzie, and we’ll ring you again soon,” then hung up. What’s the point of these idiots calling the same number nonstop when they’re clearly not selling anything useful? And when you try to call back, the number’s dead. Who even are these people?

This health and safety questionnaire feels rather suspect, if you ask me. It appears to be just another shifty surveyor trying to reel in as much personal data as they can. Definitely doesn’t strike me as genuine!

Got a ring from this number not long ago but they didn’t bother asking my name. When I asked who it was for, they just wanted to confirm my last name. I told them no, I’m not giving that out for security reasons. Then I asked what company they were with, and they said it was some home energy Scotland thing, checking on government grants for energy saving. I told them we’d already had a chat with them earlier this year about home improvements (which is true), and that we weren’t interested anymore. Kinda feels like this might have been a scam call.

Got a call with a rude message left on my voicemail.

Someone rang claiming to be from SSE, saying my loft insulation might be dangerous and needed checking for health risks. When I questioned why, if it was such a serious danger, the government hadn’t issued any alerts or why councils weren’t urgently inspecting or swapping out insulation in council houses, the caller got quite hostile. He insisted that was exactly the reason for his call and that they were already taking care of it.
