Total scam, you can tell straight away. Got a recorded voice saying “This is a message from bank security” but never mentioned any specific bank! I hit 2 to speak to someone just to mess around a bit. The person on the line didn’t know my name. When I asked where they were calling from, they said something along the lines of the Visa debit department covering all banks! I refused to give my name when asked. They quickly hung up once they saw I wasn’t cooperating.

Got a call from an automated voice supposedly from my bank's fraud department saying there was suspicious stuff going on with my account and to press buttons from the options. I called my bank's actual fraud team using the number on the back of my card, and they said they have no signs of any problems on my account. They reckon it's almost definitely a scam.

I received a rather dubious call claiming to be from my bank, alerting me that unauthorized purchases from Amazon had been charged to my account. They requested that I press 1 if I wanted to have a chat with an advisor to resolve the matter. Quite suspicious if you ask me!
