I didn’t pick up when this number showed on my phone, even though it looked kind of local. These days, call centres often ring from numbers that seem familiar to trick you. The moment you pick up, your number is tagged as active and then you get bombarded with even more calls like that. That’s why I just ignore them now. I have voicemail set up, but honestly, the only messages I get are from PPI companies, and I delete those straight away. If someone calls and doesn’t leave a message (apart from the annoying PPI ones), then I’m not going to bother calling back. Easy as that.
