I opted not to pick up this number, even though it seems somewhat local. It appears that call centres are increasingly adopting local numbers to trick unsuspecting folks. The moment you answer, they mark your number as ACTIVE, and lo and behold, you can expect more of these annoying calls. So, I’ve made a point to let them ring out. I’ve got voicemail set up, but honestly, the only messages I ever receive are from those pesky PPI scammers, and I promptly delete those. If any other callers can't be bothered to leave a proper message, then I certainly won’t waste my time getting back to them. It’s as straightforward as that!
