I got a call saying it was from my bank, but it was super weird. The start of the call was in proper British English, but then the automated menu switched to an American accent. When I pressed option 2 to talk to someone, the person on the other end had a strong Indian accent. I asked them since when did my bank hire Americans and Indians, and they just cut me off straight away. So if you get a call like this, watch out for these strange accent changes - it’s probably a scam.
