Georgia asked me to hit the windows key and the r key at the same time. Not sure exactly why but I reckon it mightve given her control over my PC or something like that, putting me at risk. Honestly, best bet is to either mess around with them a bit to waste their minutes like I did or just cut the call.

Just remembered something odd about Georgia. She told me a number while chatting, but when I checked with 1471, the real number came up as 02808085555. Seems like she wasn’t quite truthful.

Got a call too and the caller claimed to be Microsoft, they said they were from Reading! Strange how many of us are getting this.

Today I got a call from a bloke named Alex Marshall who said he was from Microsoft. He reckoned my computer was hacked and started telling me to switch it on right away. I said I was busy and asked for his phone number. After a bit of pushing, he gave me this number. I’m thinking of calling him back in about 20 minutes - but honestly, not gonna happen!

Got a call from someone claiming to be from Microsoft, said they were located in Reading and had an Asian accent. They told me my computer was involved in illegal stuff and had been hacked, trying to get access. When I questioned them, they started getting really rude and made inappropriate remarks. Then I spoke to the ‘manager’ called Mr Matthews, same kind of accent, who warned they’d shut down my computer since I wasn’t helping them. Seriously, don’t share any info or let these people near your PC!

I got a phone call from 01782922666 and the bloke said he was Kevin Marshall from Microsoft’s Tech Support. He told me my PC had been hacked or something along those lines. I’ve had loads of these calls before, so I reckoned it was probably a scam. He gave me a 0131 number to ring back on my phone, claiming that’d prove he was legit. Of course, when I looked into it, the number turned out to be fake.

Today, someone claiming to be Alan Smith from Microsoft over at Thames Valley Park Reading got in touch, saying our computers were compromised and he had to secure them. My husband got really worried and immediately started blaming Donald Trump and the Russians for the attack. Alan stayed calm and replied that the hackers were from a different place. He then asked us to describe what was showing on our screen. We told him we were actually viewing a page about "Microsoft cold call scams." After hearing that, he just hung up on us - quite cheeky, really!

Got a call earlier from someone claiming to be Margaret Williams at Microsoft, said there’s some problem with my computer and I need to download their software. Told them I’m using Ubuntu so no way, sounded like a total scam. Plus, no Microsoft account linked to my number. This is the third time today I’ve gotten a call like this.

This number isn’t safe at all, definitely avoid answering it. They pretend to be from Microsoft, say your account’s been hacked and ask you to update your 'Microsoft ID'. It’s just a trick to get your bank info. Best thing is to hang up immediately and never give them remote access.

Got a call from a lady claiming to be from "Microsoft", saying my computer was hacked for some online gambling stuff. She didn’t show her number but gave me a number to call back. When I phoned it, a guy answered saying it was Microsoft, but as soon as I asked if the original call was legit, he just hung up on me. Seemed a bit dodgy to me!

Got a call from someone saying they were from Microsoft, claiming my computer was hacked. When I asked for details, the bloke said his name was Benny Edwards and gave me a bit of a licence number. But when I asked for more info, he threatened to block my access. Seemed dodgy to me.

Someone rang me saying they were from Microsoft Tech Support, saying my PC was compromised. They got remote access and showed me a window claiming I’d been visiting adult websites. Since I don’t even know how to get onto those kind of sites, I figured it must be legit.
