Something very similar happened to me today. I got an automated voicemail saying it was urgent and that I must get back to them quickly or face some serious legal trouble. They told me to ring 01618187501 and ask for Jennifer Coleman from HMRC. I phoned straight away but didn’t manage to talk to Jennifer herself, only one of her team. I told them I doubted they were actually from HMRC, and then the line was cut off on me.

Got a call today from an automated voice claiming to be Officer Jennifer Coleman from HMRC. The caller ID was 01622 370894, which is supposed to be a Maidstone area. The message even gave the same number to ring back, just missing the initial zero. Clearly just a scam like some others have pointed out. I reckon they want you to call back on a premium-rate line that looks like a normal local number. Avoid it!

Just like some others have said, I got a robocall with a message from Jennifer Coleman claiming to be from HMRC. They clearly knew my name and said I was involved in some urgent legal case. Total rubbish, but it’s pretty creepy getting a call like that out of the blue. It’s awful they try this kind of thing; it left me feeling stressed during my shift even though I knew it was a con. Best thing to do is just hang up and forget about it!

I got a call from someone called Jennifer Coleman who said she was from HMRC, but the way they spoke was off and sounded really robotic. It didn’t feel genuine at all. I got a voicemail on my 1571 from someone saying they were Jennifer Coleman from HMRC, warning me about some lawsuit. They never mentioned my name, so it could’ve been sent to anyone really. Seems dodgy to me. They said I had to ring back or else there would be consequences, but still no mention of who exactly it was about. The phone number they left for me to call was 1618187406. Definitely felt like a scam.

The number’s now 01442781093 and I got an automated voicemail from someone named Jennifer Coleman, claiming to be from HM Revenue & Customs. She said this was my final warning before the case goes to court and I needed to ring back straight away. Since this was news to me, I dialled the number back. But no Jennifer Coleman answered, and they wouldn’t say when she’d be available. Besides, the message was actually for a Mrs Harriet Jude, who I’ve never heard of. I warned them I’d call the police if they didn’t sort it out, and then they just hung up on me!

Got a call from someone named Coleman claiming to be from HMRC, but it was just one of those automated scam calls. The way he spoke was off, not really fluent in English - he kept saying stuff like "resolvement of the problem," which totally gave it away. Felt like a total scam from the start.

Got a call from a robotic voice claiming to be Jennifer Coleman from HMRC, saying there was a lawsuit and to call back straight away, like it was urgent. Definitely felt dodgy from the start.
