Got a call from 0131 6080148 claiming they were from Microsoft Reading. They asked if I was the primary user of the computer and told me to report the issue to their supposed Head Office in Reading. All spoken with a Scottish accent, which seemed very dodgy to me. Definitely a scammer.

He said he wasn’t selling me anything and asked why I wasn’t interested, yet he hadn’t even explained anything. I told him it was obviously a scam. Then he started having a go at me, calling me rude and asking if I’d never learned manners. I fired back, telling him it was cheeky for him to be rude first. He tried to argue again but I just ended the call.

I got a call from a guy with a really British sounding name, claiming he was from BT Openreach, talking about issues with 'my internet'. Problem is, I don't even have internet at home! When I told him that, he got kinda annoyed. Totally obvious scam trying to trick you into opening some files on your computer that most folks don’t understand, making out like hackers are involved so you'll hand over your info or cough up cash. I usually just keep them talking for ages to waste their time and stop them scamming anyone else!

Got a call from a number with an Edinburgh STD code claiming to be from BT’s Reading office. The lady said there was some hacker messing with my computer and tried to explain technical stuff, but I just couldn’t follow what she was going on about. Didn’t take to her attitude either, she had a strong foreign accent and was pretty pushy. Got frustrated when I refused to let her take control of my PC. Nothing I said seemed to get through to her, so I just ended the call. Watch out for this one, it felt dodgy.
