BE WARNED - I never gave permission for them to have my info, yet they did - it was some lot called IPSOS, supposedly doing a survey about a National Careers appointment I had. I already completed surveys through a link the careers service sent me, not these IPSOS people! I told them I was busy and asked if they could send the survey by email instead, but I didn’t give my email to see if they were legit. The guy with an Irish accent said ‘sure, no problem’ - but I never got any email! No clue what questions they wanted, but it all smells like data theft to me.

Of course, he mentioned I could skip any questions I wasn’t keen on. It was an unsolicited call, and I’m on the TPS list for my mobile, so I wasn’t thrilled. I recognised the number from previous calls-I’ve saved it in my contacts. Definitely a scam, they rang me a couple of times. The first call they were asking all sorts about my lifestyle and who I know. I told them I was tied up, and they said they’d ring again. When they did, it was for some totally different excuse. From what I’ve seen in other comments, these calls don’t seem to have any legit purpose at all - total scam.

Answered the phone and some woman said she was from Ipsos Mori, reaching out for HMRC. She said she needed to ask about the vehicle use bits on my tax return. I didn’t hang around though, way too many warning signs. Someone ringing for HMRC but speaking with a thick Asian accent? Nah, not falling for that today.
