no idea who that was, but i got a voicemail that was just a bunch of weird beeping noises for like three minutes.

I picked up the phone and got a message saying something like, "you missed a call from efficiency gold today." ive never come across that company so i never gave them any ok to leave me a recorded message. you'd assume theres a proper way to report these firms that would actually take action.

Never come across that company before, so I definitely haven’t given them the go-ahead to ring me with automated messages. Got a call from some place called Efficiency Gold on a Sunday, from a number I didn’t recognise. Clearly one of those sales calls. Pretty irritating and not something I needed.

They keep ringing my phone at home but never bother to leave any message. It's really annoying.

Now I just ignore anyone calling from unknown numbers or those call centres. The moment I catch background chatter after I answer, I’m straight off the phone. At least that way, the call gets logged, and they’ve got to foot the bill.

This morning I got a call from this number. A woman named Rachel asked if I could answer a few questions. I told her nicely I was busy. She kept saying it’d only take 30 seconds, but I explained again I really wasn’t free. Then she started asking about the type of house I live in, but I just said I didn’t want to share that info. Rachel then said something like “you’re wasting more time arguing instead of just answering,” and she sounded quite pushy and rude. When I asked her for the company’s info, she abruptly hung up on me. I’m fine dealing with calls like this, but I feel sorry for elderly folks who might get treated so aggressively over the phone.
