Strangely, they knew a bit about my Vodafone contract, which made me suspicious. I checked with Vodafone, and they told me they'd never shared my details with anyone. The caller claimed they were operating out of Portsmouth, but that didn’t seem right. Also, they said they were calling from England, yet the phone number looked like it was from somewhere else. At first, they sounded convincing and even sent me an email with a link to click. That’s when I realised it was probably a scam. I asked them to call me later so I could look into it more, but instead, they pushed to close the deal quickly, maybe even the same day.
