About three weeks back, I got a call from this number 0131359 using the landline and later found a charge of £142 on my bill. I can't quite remember the last four digits but will check my phone statement and update here. What should I do now? Is it possible to get a refund?

I keep getting calls on my phone, mostly around midday. I've tried blocking the number, but it doesn't seem to stop them at all, maybe it's some sort of automated thing.

I have no clue who this is but they ring both my mobile and my landline every single day. Only my family knows my home number, so it puzzled me for a while. Then I remembered I had put it on my CV on Indeed. That must be how they managed to get hold of my info. Proper annoying.

Got a random call from some folks calling themselves ‘Claims Helpdesk’. Sounded like they had a proper English accent, but didn’t ask for the call at all. Bit shady if you ask me.

This number rings me up daily, and I’ve stopped picking up. When I did, since it’s got an Edinburgh code and I live nearby, there’s just silence at first, then a really loud beep, and then nothing. So I just ended up hanging up straight away. Best not to bother answering it at all.

I rang back this number earlier, and the person who answered spoke with a British accent. They didn’t mention a company name but said it was the claims help desk. Since I haven’t filed any claims, I’m blocking the number straight away!

Somebody called me saying I was involved in an accident not long ago.
