I received a call from a number based in Edinburgh which I picked up, thinking it might be something important. Instead, it turned out to be a company claiming, "You have recently made a claim on your car insurance." When I sought clarification, the person on the other end suddenly went silent, which set off alarm bells for me; it felt suspiciously like a scam. I haven't even made a claim, mainly because I neither drive nor possess a vehicle! I highly recommend blocking and reporting this number right away.
