This number has been ringing me nonstop in the past day, claiming I owe more than £300 and need to pay straight away. SCAM ALERT - Woman calling as Katie or sometimes Lyndsey with a Scottish accent. She begins by talking about a 'current account' and claimed I'd made payments before, which I have not. When I requested to speak to her manager, she just hung up on me. If you get called by her, just end the call straight away. Make sure you report this to Edinburgh Trading Standards!

Absolute scam alert! Got a call from someone claiming to be from Yell, saying I owed them £395 for an annual subscription. They said they'd send an invoice soon, supposedly from ukbusinessprofiles as they were updating their system or something. The lady on the phone had a Scottish accent (called herself Katie Smith) and had done some serious digging on my business, spouting off details she must have pulled from Yell's site. Honestly, don’t waste your time chatting to them - it’s all dodgy!

This Scottish woman called Sarah keeps ringing me about 20 times, demanding £359.99. She claims to be the accounts manager at UK Business Profiles. When I contacted UK Business Profiles myself, they confirmed I don’t owe any money. I even told Sarah I’ve got a letter from them proving I’m clear, but she just said that letter was related to a banner ad. Quite fishy if you ask me!

Got a call from this number claiming I owed £200 for my Google account and wanted it paid immediately. I told them no way, I never pay cold calls like that. They warned me my bill would keep going up daily if I didn’t pay. I just hung up, switched on my answerphone, and then they kept ringing non stop for ages but never left a message. Such a hassle. Honestly, someone should look into this number, if there’s a governing body that deals with these things.

I went through a similar mess with ukbusinessprofiles, they wanted me to pay £359.99 for an ad I had cancelled ages ago, back in 2016. There was this woman, Sarah, who was proper pushy and rude, badgering me and the team insisting we cough up. I tried ringing the numbers she gave but either it was just dead or always busy. When I asked for a copy of the contract, she just hung up on me. This all happened around 6 Nov 2017, very frustrating!

I keep getting calls from a lady, sometimes on my mobile, a few times a week. She says we owe money to Google, but we don’t have any account with them. The number usually comes up as private or withheld. She talks really quickly and never tells me her full name. I've gotten a few calls from someone named Rachel Taylor, and I think there’s another woman called Sarah involved too - could even be the same person, not sure. I’ve had this woman phoning me loads, leaving messages saying it’s urgent about my current account. I called back but only got to leave a message - asked what company she was with since she didn’t even know my name, only my business name, which seemed a bit dodgy. She rang me again and left another message, same urgent stuff. So, I looked up the number and found out tons of others had got calls from it with the same story. I gave it another go, left a message telling her I’m a retired police officer and that I’d report her to the fraud team. Told her not to call again and frankly to get lost. Felt good to say it, even if it wasn’t very polite! lol

This woman named Sarah Taylor phoned us claiming we owed money for our ukbusinessprofiles.com listing. She said she was calling for Google and we had to cough up £359 for the upcoming year. She gave a number for us to ring back, but it was just dead. When she first rang, the caller ID was private and I swear I heard a TV playing in the back, like she was calling from home. She emailed some invoices over - one had VAT and company info and she said we’d settled that last year, but the newest one didn’t have any of those details. Felt really dodgy to me.

Like others have said, this lady’s got a really noticeable way of speaking but uses a different name each time she rings. Today alone she phoned me twice, changing her name within just five minutes. She claimed it was about my Google current account. If you’ve given her any money, get in touch with your bank straight away to try and get it back, it’s a scam and they should be able to help you get a refund.

Had a call just like this one, claimed it was about a "current account" but really it was just another scammer trying to get me to pay for some fake business directory fee. They can be really pushy and try to scare you. Best thing is to ask them to send all the details in writing and double check any cards you’ve used are cancelled so they can’t take money again. After that, just politely tell them to stop bothering you and hang up.

Yesterday I got a call from a number that showed up as "unavailable" on my phone. The person on the other end was trying to get me to pay a fake bill using my credit card, saying it was for some kind of "services to Google" I supposedly used. Then, this morning, they phoned me two more times, again with the number hidden.
