I'm not sure how reliable this site really is. This number’s been active way longer than just 13 days, no doubt about it. Keeps ringing me non-stop, but never gets picked up.

My elderly mum, who has dementia and lives by herself, had this scam call blocked by her TrueCall device. Usually, just hearing the filtering message makes these callers hang up straight away. But looking at the TrueCall logs, I noticed this one tried to guess the access code to bypass the filter. They even gave it another go the following day. That’s seriously persistent - never came across anything like it before. It’s really worrying because if they’re willing to keep trying to crack the code, it puts vulnerable people in real danger.

So I tried calling back and they said they were from "24/7 Communications" over at 24seven.com, which looks like some company based in California. Then the next day, I got the same number again, but this time it was “Jane from Solar Energy Advice” on the line. It sounded like one of those recorded voice bots to me, probably trying to gather voice samples or something, judging by what people have mentioned around here.

It's really not clever to ring back numbers you don't recognise. Sometimes the call gets sent to expensive foreign lines, and worse, you could be speaking to a con artist. Check out the posts below about voice cloning for more info.

Got a call from what sounded like one of those energy scams, but the person on the other end kept droning on for what felt like forever, even though I barely replied except with things like “you sound different from the lady who normally rings” and “just a sec please.” I always do that and leave my landline off the hook, hoping to waste their time without doing much myself. Kinda amusing, really. Saw some earlier remarks about voice cloning - didn’t know that was a thing these days, quite spooky if true.

This is the third time I've had calls from different numbers, all saying it's about some energy company. Whenever I ask a simple question, I just get rubbish answers. I have no idea what they're trying to achieve since I never let the call go on. I've blocked the number, but I bet another one will pop up soon.

Got a call at around 3:20 pm on May 14th, 2026. It went straight to voicemail and I heard a young guy’s voice that I’ve heard before from scam calls. He said, “Thanks for your time now,” which is exactly what he said in his previous message. Quite obvious a scammer if you ask me.

I got a call claiming to be about some energy saving thing, but I'm pretty sure it's a con. Sounds like it's some AI trying to gather voice samples or something. Luckily, I can switch up my accent and sound totally different, so they don’t get my real voice.

Got a call from someone claiming to be an energy consultant, but they didn’t even know my surname. They kept firing off questions, even when I said "no comment" every time. When I asked for their business info, they just kept talking or went quiet. Funny thing, they said their manager would ring me back in about 45 minutes (odd, right?). They were chatting about subsidies and was really keen to find out how old I am. Pretty sure I’ve seen this one before - classic scam.

They keep calling pretending to be some "local energy expert" but that’s just rubbish. Blocking them does nothing because they swap their number every couple of days. It’s definitely a scam. Reporting to the cops isn’t an option since you don’t even find out which company they claim to be from. Proper waste of time!

About 37 posts down, you can find a couple of comments that show how to get this scam number removed and warn about the serious danger voice cloning poses. It’s more than just tricking people into saying yes. There’s a whole lot more to it. If this AI issue spreads, it could cause real chaos here. The good news is it’s simple to stop if everyone knows the risks and reports every scam call to the police and OfCom through the channels mentioned below.

About 9 or 10 posts down, there’s a clear guide on how to report these dodgy calls to both the police and OfCom, which were put in place by the previous government to track and tackle this rubbish. If you don’t report them, the people who can actually do something won’t have a clue what’s going on. Also, watch out for the REALLY NASTY VOICE CLONING tech scammers are using these days - some info about that’s shared below. Basically, chatting with these scammers might land you in big trouble later on, so BE CAREFUL.

I got a call from a woman claiming she was an energy advisor around here. She asked if I owned the house, but it sounded like a recorded message. Sometimes I couldn’t even interrupt or get a word in, she’d just keep firing questions at me like she was waiting for an answer. It felt really off.

01544 600151 I answered this number because I often have to take calls related to my husband's health. A man came on asking if I could hear him, but I said I couldn’t. I got one of those shady calls where some voice goes, "Are you there, can you hear me?" I just stayed silent. Then, after about 20 seconds, the exact same question echoed back to me with the same tone, like it was pre-recorded or some sort of AI thing. A further 20 seconds passed and it happened *again*. Finally, the same voice chimed in with, "No worries, sorry for the bother, have a great day." If you don't respond at all, it seems the call is pointless for them - but it's pretty annoying getting these daily calls, each time from a different number that looks new.

Oh yeah, this is one of those voice cloning scams using AI, they’re trying to catch you saying yes on record. I saw a few detailed posts a bit further down, like four or five comments below, that explain it pretty well. After they snag your voice, they usually follow up with something like a loft insulation or solar panel rip-off. You can find loads about it if you search online. Stay careful out there!

They keep calling and askin’ “Can you hear me?” first time I said yes, but the next time I just hung up. Feels like they’re tryin’ to record your voice, maybe they’ll ask different stuff later on to get you to say things that could be used to open bank accounts or something dodgy. Got called by a woman with a Scottish accent who asked if I could hear her. I replied 'no' and then just ended the call straight away.

Got a call from a number I didn't recognise. A lady on the other end kept asking if I could hear her. I just told her to buzz off and ended the call.

Like a few others mentioned, this sounded like some sort of sneaky AI bot trying to grab my voice. It got me on the first question, asking "are you there?" but the moment the next question seemed set up for a "no" reply, I twigged what was going on and ended the call. Seriously, watch out, this is really risky stuff!!!

Got a call from what sounded like an energy advice line, but it was clearly an AI bot. It asks if you're alright today - some kind of usual voice check. Honestly, it felt quite clever and kind of worrying.

Sounds like some kind of AI thingy pretending to be from the energy company, offering vouchers or something. I told them I wasn’t interested and to stop calling me. Normally, I just hang up straight away but this time I got tricked into chatting a bit. So now they probably have my voice saved for dodgy reasons. Brilliant. Just ignore and hang up, folks.

I got a call and the first thing the person asked was 'can you hear me?' which kinda threw me off, so I said yes. After that, they claimed to be from some energy company. I ended up just hanging up because it sounded like one of those AI voice calls.

I let it ring out, didn't answer cause the number was unfamiliar and seemed a bit dodgy to me. Probably some kind of scam.

Both times, all they did was say "can you hear me," no requests or anything else.

This number rang me twice already, and each time a woman’s voice picked up asking if I could hear her. I guess they want me to say yes. I asked straight away who they were and what they wanted, but no reply came. Ended up just hanging up before they asked again. Quite odd really.

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, no voicemail left or anything. Looks like it’s one of those scam calls, based on what others have said.

I was proper shocked to discover that this number is actually some sort of AI bot that's recording my voice to make a clone. It's crazy to think these creepy digital AI things are free to mess with us like this with no laws or watchdogs to stop them. 441313818849 is seriously dodgy. Never crossed my mind until now that those robotic cold calls were actually stealing our voices. It's honestly quite terrifying.

This number is definitely an energy scam call, some kind of robot that tries to get you to say stuff on record. Totally dodgy, best just to ignore and block it straight away!
