This seems pretty dodgy to me.

Got a call from someone claiming they were from an insurance firm, right after I had a crash. Felt really dodgy, as if they were trying to scam me somehow. Definitely wasn't from any company I know.

I got a call yesterday from a Northern Irish number saying they were Vodafone but it was really hard to hear them properly. When I tried asking some questions, they just ended up hanging up. Today, another call came through from an Edinburgh number, same story - said they were Vodafone with spotty connection, and then suddenly cut off. Seems dodgy to me!

It showed up as a missed call and got marked as spam. The phone didn’t actually ring though, so I figured they were waiting for us to call back.

Got a call from an Edinburgh code, but the person on the other end didn't sound Scottish at all. When I asked who they were and why they were ringing, they just hung up on me. Pretty weird!

A woman phoned me inquiring about my well-being, but as soon as I requested her name and the purpose of her call, she abruptly ended the conversation. I've since blocked the number and reported it.

I've had a string of calls from the same number; first yesterday on the 15th, and they've only just rung me again today. An Asian lady attempted to tell me, "This is O2, your network provider," but I don’t even have that network in my entire household! It's absolutely outrageous - just another set of pesky scammers at it again.

Received a call supposedly from Vodafone's promotions department. They cut the line as soon as I picked up. I've blocked the number straightaway. It smells suspicious to me. It showed up as a call from Edinburgh, yet the person had a noticeable Indian accent. Clearly dodgy! Vodafone has no record of any such call.

I received a call from someone claiming to be with EE, stating I was eligible for a 40% discount on my existing contract. Naturally, I was a bit sceptical, so I probed her for more information about her location and the office she represented. At that point, she abruptly ended the call. Clearly, it’s a scam looking to fish for personal information!

Received a call claiming to be from O2, but they disconnected as soon as I picked up. Odd behaviour!

Received a call from this number but I didn’t pick up. Is there any chance it could be dodgy?

Says it’s an O2 Call Alert, does it? Quite curious, isn't it?

Gave them a ring, but they cut the line as soon as I began to speak. Quite peculiar, really!

I really appreciate the insights from everyone else; I've gone ahead and blocked that number now.

I received a call purporting to be from Vodafone, claiming they had a discount to offer me. Oddly enough, it’s the same chap who has rang me from at least three different phone numbers. One was from Manchester, another from Northern Ireland, and now I've been contacted from Edinburgh. Quite the saga, I must say!

Received a call from this number earlier today. When I picked up, they just cut the line. How peculiar!

I decided against answering after reading the remarks on this site. I've now blocked and reported the number. Absolute chancers!

I turned down the call, but then my phone started ringing once more right after. I chose to ignore it, even as it persisted for ages. Then, they had the cheek to attempt a third time, which I also dismissed before going ahead and blocking the number entirely.

I received a call from this number with someone pretending to represent Vodafone. They answered but then promptly disconnected before I could say much. This happened three times in total! I've now blocked the number without hesitation.
