Got a ring again from some bloke claiming to be my “Local Energy Advisor”. I told him, “How many of these so-called local energy advisors do you reckon I’ve had? You’re the fifth one this month!” And then, just like that, they cut me off straight away.

I think this number has tried to ring me a few times now. I just let it go on til my voicemail picks up, then they always seem to hang up straightaway. When I checked it out on here, it turns out it’s linked to some kind of scam. I reckon it’s best not to pick up if it rings again, so I’ve flagged it as suspicious.

Got another call today from someone trying to get my personal info to check if I qualify for some kind of energy help. They claimed to have folks nearby and the person spoke with a British accent, sounded pretty legit but I’m convinced it’s a scam. I asked her to send me the details in writing, but she said she didn’t have my info yet - that’s why she was calling - and everything is supposedly protected by data laws. Right, sure! I’m on the TPS list, so how come these calls keep coming through?

It’s a scam, without a doubt. The lady on the phone spoke with a London accent, just like a few others have said. She wouldn’t tell me the company’s name, just claimed to be some sort of energy hub collaborating with local firms. Then she went on about how my loft insulation was supposedly a hazard! My tip? Just recognise it’s a con and drag out the call as much as you can so they waste their time and bother fewer people.
