12th Jan 2023. Got a call from someone claiming to be from an "energy centre". She went on about how my loft insulation didn’t meet the current standards anymore, rambling about asbestos, fibreglass, rock wool and all that. Said my address popped up on their system (I seriously doubt that’s true!). Told her there’s no way she’d know anything about my house or what’s actually in the loft... before I could even add "or the insulation", she ended the call. 😄

Then they went on asking if I owned the house and what my address was. Obviously they had the wrong details. They also said the claims department would contact me to set up a visit or something.

I received a call from this number, but it bypassed my phone's Call Blocker. The system prompted me to press 7 to connect if I was 'family or friends'. Curious, I decided to ring the number back today, and a pre-recorded message informed me that I had reached the energy hub and instructed me to hold for an operator. I ended up speaking to a woman, but I quickly disconnected. Seems rather suspicious, don’t you think? Definitely feels like a scam!

This number just rang me, and honestly it’s the same person who’s been buzzing me a bunch of times - at least five different numbers they've used before. She says she’s an energy advisor from around here. Before she got going, I cut in and asked, “Is this Jo again?” She has quite a unique tone, so it was easy to tell. She hung up right away after that. I’m pretty sure she was trying to pitch loft insulation once more. Number’s now blocked.
