I reckon it’s a scam, to be honest. The recorded message came across as rather shoddy, not at all the sort of thing one would expect from HMRC. They claimed they were initiating legal proceedings against me for tax arrears, but honestly, that doesn't faze me in the slightest, seeing as I’m not even on their radar as a taxpayer!
