Got a call from someone claiming to be Sky, saying there’s a fee for looking after TV gear. I told them we don’t even have Sky, but they kept going. Said it was from Edinburgh, but I could tell by his Indian accent it was coming from overseas. I just told him to jog on, obvious scammer. Got a ring on my home phone from this number. Picked up and it was one of those call centres for sure. Some bloke with a thick accent asked me my name, so I asked who was on the line. He claimed to be from Sky about a TV maintenance renewal or something. Told him he’d got the wrong number and hung up straight away. Watch out for these scammers - best not to engage with them at all.

Got a call from a guy with a South Asian accent who claimed he was from some company called ‘Sky Assured Maintenance’. He wanted to know how much I had paid for my Sky maintenance deal last year. Thing is, I haven’t been with Sky for yonks. I asked him if he was completely certain he was actually calling from 'Sky Assured Maintenance' and right after that, he just disconnected. Total scam attempt. Best thing is to just hang up, ignore them and block the number.

Just like everyone else here, got a call claiming to be Sky TV. I told them to contact Vodaphone instead, then they suddenly weren’t keen on chatting and ended the call. After that, I looked up the number and blocked it straight away.
