Some bloke called me from this number and I reckon it’s the same geezer who just swindled me out of over £1000. He kept saying he was in the army or something. Honestly, watch out with this one, he’s proper dodgy and won’t hesitate to pull off anything to get your cash.

Just switched my phone off, so they won't be able to reach me at all.

this annoying number kept ringing me today around 10:30 but went dead once my answerphone kicked in. i’ve got a private unlisted landline, which is rented from plusnet and mainly used for internet. been using ‘ips’ phone protection for ages, but clearly it aint stopping these pests. bloody nuisance! cheers for pointing out the scammers on 0131 336 4267. plusnet are introducing free call tracing soon on my unlimited broadband plan, starting june 2018, so hopefully i won’t need to dial 1471 to find out who’s bothering me anymore. really appreciate the heads up!

This is the second occasion within 48 hours where they've called but stayed silent on the line.

So this morning, 11th April 2018 at 8:38, I got a call from this number. It went straight to my voicemail but nobody said anything. Honestly, I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don’t recognise anyway.

Had a call from a woman, sounded Asian, claiming to be from BT tech support, asked her to stop bothering me. About half an hour later, an Asian bloke rings, says he’s also from BT tech. I told him politely to jog on, but he insisted the call was very important. Told him again to do one. Then he started going off about some awful stuff involving my family, which was just disgusting. Ended up calling me a nasty racial insult, proper vile.

A guy called claiming to be from BT, when i asked who he was he tried to play it off like he was legit. Told him i was well aware of their dodgy antics and just ended the call straight away!

Just got the same old “your computer’s got a problem” trick again! Can’t believe people still fall for it.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with BT, saying they needed access to my computer to sort out an internet problem. Totally sounded dodgy to me. I've already let BT security and my internet provider know, and they're looking into it now. Definitely a scam, stay careful!

I got a ring from this number saying they were from the computer help team, then switched to saying they’re with Microsoft when I asked. They just wanted to keep me talking forever and wouldn’t give straight answers about their reason for calling.

My elderly parents keep getting calls about BT internet, even tho they dont have internet or computers at all. They dont even deal with BT! The calls come sometimes really late at night, which is just rude. They need to stop bothering them!

Someone called claiming to be from the Windows tech support, I could tell straight away they were fibbing. They ended up hanging up pretty quick.

I got a call from someone saying they were from BT, but when I said I wasn’t having internet problems and doubted their story, they just lost it and started swearing at me, calling me a ‘motherf#&ker’. I can’t imagine BT’s real customer service would behave like that at all.

I’ve had three calls this morning already. They ring our home phone but send it straight to voicemail every time, so no chance to actually chat with whoever it is.

Got loads of calls from this number, some guy with an Indian accent telling me my internet's been hacked. Total scam, told the bloke to get lost.

I got a call from a couple of blokes, one said he was with BT, the other said he was some senior tech guy from BT. They went on about my computer having issues, the same old story about faults with my PC, and tried to get remote access. I just ended the call, but a bit later they called back. This time I held on for about five minutes before hanging up again.

Like someone else said before, it's just another wrong number. I just used call protect to block it. No point giving them the time of day.
