I picked up but the person just ended the call straight away and never rang me again.

Received a call purporting to be from BT this morning, alarmingly at half five. They were all about some supposed changes or unusual activity on my internet connection. It struck me as decidedly dodgy, so I decided to hang up rather than risk getting tangled up in a scam.

I’ve come across this dodgy scam doing the rounds. It’s an automated voice, all American twang, purporting to be from HMRC and barking about some legal trouble. Total nonsense!
