I picked up but the person just ended the call straight away and never rang me again.

Got a call this morning at half past five from someone saying they were BT. They were talking about some changes or activity on my internet, but I didn’t trust it at all. Seemed like a scam so I just ended the call straight away.

This one’s a classic scam, with some robotic US voice pretending to be from HMRC and warning you about supposed legal trouble.
