They keep ringing me twice a day. There’s a delay before the call connects, so it feels like they’re stuck on a loop calling the same numbers. The bloke says his name’s Jason and wants to go over my life insurance. Won’t say who he’s actually after. Claims my insurance is with Aviva but then says he doesn’t work for them and isn’t trying to sell anything. He chatters nonstop, quite loudly too, whenever I try to ask anything, then just hangs up on me.

Got a call from someone saying they were from Scottish Power, but they asked for my hubby who handles the bills. Told them he wasn’t available and they said they’d call again tomorrow. I’ve blocked the number now.

Picked up & as expected they wanted to talk about life insurance. I politely told them they’d woken me up as I work nights all week & I wasn’t interested. They called back another 8 times!! One of the calls even got through after I’d blocked the number. Honestly, I wish I knew where they lived so I could keep them awake all night! This should be illegal. Now I’m heading to work with a headache and feeling totally exhausted. So unprofessional and invasive. Completely unnecessary!

I’ve been in the insurance game for over 8 years, so I could spot nearly all the nonsense straight away. I really don’t get why these lot ring during work hours and expect you to stick around for a chat, even if you felt like it. Completely baffling.

Bit odd. I picked up and just said “hi” quickly. Then after a few seconds, an automated voice popped up sayin, “we can’t connect you to an advisor right now.
