Picked up the phone but no one said a word. Looks like Scottish Power’s sneaky tactic to push smart meters. I reckon they might even be breaking some rules doing this. Calls come from a call centre and seem computer dialled, ringing loads of numbers at once. That’s why you get silence - they just can’t handle all the calls at the same time. It’s definitely spam, they should either ring properly or just leave it.

Looks like it was Scottish Power again ringing me up, this time early on a Saturday morning. No voicemail left or anything. They’ve been bombarding me with calls and texts about swapping to a smart meter for ages now. Proper irritating, to be honest.

Received an automated call claiming to be from Scottish Power, stating they were in my vicinity installing smart meters. I was prompted to press 1 if I was interested in having one fitted, or 2 if I wasn’t keen on the idea. Quite the nuisance, really!

Received a silent call at 7 in the evening on a Sunday, of all times!
Seriously, do they even bother checking the TPS register? Apparently not!
Clearly, they don’t give a toss about how bothersome and disruptive a call at this hour can be!
What’s their angle on asking for utility meter readings, especially since many of us submit ours online each month?

This seems like a cheeky attempt to persuade folks to switch to a smart meter!
