9 yearsA guy with a Scottish accent, who said his name was Peter Hentges, rang me recently. He claimed to work for the Energy Advisory Group, which he said is linked to The Energy Saving Trust. Peter mentioned that an advisor had visited me back in July 2016 and that he was following up on it. Personally, I don’t remember any visit or even a phone call before, but he insisted I’d told them my boiler oil cost about £1200 a year. Apparently, an advisor called Christopher is meant to be in my area on 6th April 2017 and will pop by around midday. I had a look on the Energy Advisory Group’s website and all I found was an 0800 number, no area codes and definitely nothing like the number he used. While it could be legit, I’ve had loads of dodgy calls like this in the past, so I’m suspicious.
