I received a call from an unfamiliar number, but they didn't bother to leave a voicemail.

I received two calls from this number today. The first time, they didn’t bother to leave a message at all. On the second ring, I answered, but there was an awkward pause before I heard, "Hi, I'm Sophie from the Accident Investigation Branch." I promptly told her to take her so-called "investigation" and shove it, then ended the call. It’s clearly a scam targeting those who might have had a recent accident. I strongly advise not to interact with these callers; they’re just out to swindle you.
